Club make grand donation to Young Epilepsy

-

BRACKNELL BEES have helped raise £1,900 for Young Epilepsy, with more expected throughout the season.

The Bees took part in two charity matches with Swindon Wildcats in the first week of the new year to help raise funds and have also held an event at Blues Smokehouse in November, with two more similar evenings due in the next few months.

The club are hoping to continue this tradition alongside Swindon with a different charity nominated each season.

“It’s a great amount so far and we’re hoping to raise quite a bit more,” said Bees head coach Doug Sheppard.

“It goes to a great cause with Young Epilepsy. It’s something that’s new to us and the league and I think it’s been very successful so far.

“I’m glad it’s something that’s going to carry on and continue with the Charity Challenge between us and Swindon.”
