Worthy Campaign

This England - - Post Box -

There is no memorial for the thousands of, mostly women, munitions workers. Why?

Without these brave, industrious workers toiling in a mind-numbing and dangerous occupation the Allies would have had nothing to win the war with. Hundreds of these workers were killed or died from the poisonous materials they handled daily.

Yet for all their sacrifices we cannot even say, “Thank you”. Frederick N. Temple,

High Wycombe.
