Stevenage Football Club have more challenges than most being bottom of the lowest league in England. But they’ve led the way in the coronavirus pandemic, using all their resources to help the local community, from delivering food to setting up an over-70s Community Care Line.
“We want to give our bit back as a club,” Stevenage manager Alex Revell told BBC News. With no income from matches, their future is uncertain but they can be sure their actions have earned them a legion of new fans.
