DON’T MISS . . .

-

Frome’s regular Independent Market held on the first Sunday of each month. The town takes on a festive air, its main thoroughfare, Bath Street, closed off to traffic and filled, instead, with a vast array of stalls, a live music area and pop-up food stands serving anything from spicy noodles to burgers and falafel. Shoppers throng and jostle, browsing plant and craft stalls as well as produce arrayed by the numerous local farmers who bring cheeses, small herd meats and their own sausages.

At one end of Frome, the main carpark is given over entirely to vintage and antiques dealers while at the other, cobbled Stony Street and Catherine Hill host the tiniest stalls, some no more than a little trestle or open suitcase of handmade textiles and ceramics to vintage clothing and vegan chocolates. Local cafés open along the route, too, for good coffee and wholesome snacks. thefromeindependent.org.uk
