Welcome to the winter edition of Timeless Travels magazine

Timeless Travels Magazine - - WELCOME -

Avery large thank you for all the wonderful comments and encouragement following the launch edition of the magazine. I am delighted to say that it is now being read in thirty countries from the USA & Canada to Australia, from The Philippines to Ecuador & Panama. I have my map of the world and am madly colouring in everywhere it has been downloaded! I am also delighted to say that TT has its finger on the pulse when it comes to places to visit. National Geographic Traveller has just named Choquequirao, the sister site to Machu Picchu in Peru, as one of the top destinations to visit in the Americas. Not only do we have the site in this issue, but it is written by the man who has been visiting it for over 20 years and is the foremost expert on it: self proclaimed archaeologist and adventurer, Gary Ziegler.

Besides Peru you can also travel to China, Egypt, Turkey, India, Madrid, Greece and Mexico in this issue, and there is the usual arts roundup and archaeological news.

There is a look at the life of Caravaggio, the only Baroque painter with a criminal record and amazing photographs of the 1966 flood in Florence that destroyed many precious pieces of art and literature. Finally, an interview with Lord Carnarvon shows there’s far more to Highclere than just Downton Abbey!

Happy reading!
