Celia has been de­scribed as a ‘slashy’ i.e she is a word­smith/print­maker/arts and travel cor­re­spon­dent/au­thor/artist/ scent critic/course teacher of the art of mak­ing scent/mother/flan­neur. She lives in Lon­don with her hus­band, a re­storer of an­tiques and her two sons. In the school hol­i­days they mi­grate south to sun­nier climes usu­ally to stay with her fa­ther in Tus­cany, or a Cy­cladic is­land. Celia is cur­rently writ­ing two books and work­ing on an ex­hi­bi­tion en­ti­tled Lament for the Le­vant a se­ries of etch­ings of the ru­ins of Asia Mi­nor and the Maghreb. Her book The Scent Trail is out in pa­per­back (Pen­guin) and hard­back (Ban­tam).
