Cur­rency: The Swiss Franc is the cur­rency of Switzer­land. Ban­knotes are is­sued in 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 1000 Francs and coins come in 1, 2 and 5 francs. One hun­dredth of a Swiss franc is called a rap­pen (Ger­man), cen­time (French) or cen­tes­imo (Ital­ian). 0.05 francs is 5 rap­pen, 0.10 francs, 10 rap­pen, 0.20 francs, 20 rap­pen, and 0.50 francs, 50 rap­pen. Credit Cards are widely ac­cepted through­out the city and ATMs are also widely avail­able. The euro is ac­cepted in larger shops and ho­tels, although change will be given in Swiss Francs.
