Grayson Perry retrospective in Finland
Kiasma, Helsinki Showing until: 2 September 2018
Finland’s leading contemporary art gallery is holding a retrospective of Grayson Perry this summer. The show includes Perry’s witty ceramics, sculptures, tapestries and dresses, tackling gender, identity, class and religion. The show comprises nearly 50 works, which include classical ceramic pots and large tapestries on unexpected subjects: Brexit, aesthetic tastes and masculine ideals, as well as the artist’s personal life. In addition to ceramics and tapestries, it also includes pieces made of cast iron and bronze.
The exhibition later moves to the revamped 11 Conti Museum at the Monnaie de Paris (from 19 October - 3 February 2019).
