Getting around

Timeless Travels Magazine - - IRAN -

Individual travellers can use the local bus system which has an extensive network but not the most modern or luxurious buses (but perfectly adequate for someone who is used to back-packing). They would be safe from a security point of view and bus drivers must regularly report to police stations to check that they have not sped or driven for too long: so they would be safe in this regard – although Iranian roads are generally fairly unsafe due to other bad drivers! Iran Air flies between the regional cities. It is difficult to book domestic flights outside of the country, although a specialist travel agency may be able to help you.
