Timeless Travels Magazine - - ART NEWS -

Uzbekistan has opened a new art centre to try to and help ‘boost’ the country’s art scene. Based in a former power station, the Centre for Contemporary Art in Tashkent plans to combine contemporary art, cinema, educational initiatives, experimental theatre and modern choreography with institutional forms that are new for the country, like art residencies and children’s workshops. Moscow’s Garage Museum of Contemporary Art has partnered with the centre to create an inaugural programme of workshops.
