joyeux noël l PROJECT remaining two (2) 2in x WOF Fabric H top and bottom inner border strips to this measuremen­t. If you have cut and sewn accurately, you should expect them to measure 2in x 62⅞in. Sew to top and bottom. Press the seams towards the inner border strips. 40 Repeat steps 38-39 to fit, trim and sew four (4) 1¼in Fabric I accent border strips to the sides, top and bottom of your quilt top. If you have cut and sewn accurately, you should expect them to measure 1¼in x 82in and 1¼in x 64⅜in respective­ly. Press the seams towards the accent border strips. 41 Repeat steps 38-39 to fit, trim and sew four (4) 6½in Fabric A outer border strips to the sides, top and bottom of your quilt top. If you have cut and sewn accurately, you should expect them to measure 6½in x 83½in and 6½in x 76⅜in respective­ly. Press the seams towards the outer border strips ( Fig 19 Fig 20). Quilting and finishing 42 Join the two (2) pieces of backing fabric together along the long sides using a ½in seam. Press the seam open. 43 Make a quilt sandwich basting together the backing, batting and quilt top. 44 Quilt as desired. Amanda long arm quilted ‘ The Holly and the Ivy E2E’ design using a ‘ Willow’ Glide No.40 thread. 45 46 Trim the backing and batting even with the quilt top edges. Sew the binding strips together at right angles, pressing the seams open to reduce bulk. Trim away the ‘dog ears’ and fold the strip in half lengthwise, wrong sides together and press.
