HATTON SPENDS $172...WINS $101,160

Most PGA pros get free rein over a bunch of kit. Balls, clothes and – usually – clubs. But after signing for a two-over 73 at the Northern Trust, Tyrrell Hatton drove to a nearby golf shop and spent $172 on a new Ping Sigma G Darby putter and grip. He put it in his bag for the final round, where he shot a 64 – his lowest score on the PGA Tour this year – to finish T20 and walk away with $101,160!
