Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort

Escape and unwind in the five-star splendour of one of Europe’s finest golf resorts

-

Drive 45 minutes from Nice airport, south-west through glorious Provence, and you’ll arrive at one of the world’s most prestigious golf venues, a resort created with a lighter footprint philosophy and set amid the beautiful hills of the Côte d’azur: five-star Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort.

As a European Tour Destination, Terre Blanche is a true golfers’ paradise, set in stunning surroundings. The two 18-hole golf courses, Le Château and Le Riou, have been designed by Dave Thomas, who capitalised on the existing landscape and the natural features. Le Château, which is known to be the more demanding of the two, runs over 7,235 yards with bunkers, water hazard and greens worthy of a championship course. It rewards precision and length, both off the tee and on approach, and gives a true taste of the game at a high level. Le Riou, with its 6,567 yards, its hilly, winding fairways and fast greens, is shorter and offers a slightly different game, with spectacular views over the picturesque

hilltop villages of Le Pays de Fayence.

Being GEO© certified and taking greater steps towards sustainable development in the golfing world, the resort is changing the grass on tees, in semi-rough and on fairways to Bermuda Grass Riviera. Not only will this reduce water consumption, but also reduce the use of phytosanitary products and offer optimal golf ball lift, enhancing the golfing experience on both courses.

In addition, the resort boasts the Albatros Golf Performance Center, the only European Tour Performance Institute certified in Europe. This unique training centre comprises a two-storey driving range, the Terre Blanche Golf Academy complete with the Biomecaswing Center, where all players, from beginners to touring pros, can enjoy unique training facilities and sophisticated analysis. Combining the use of biomechanics and state-of-the-art technology, the Biomecaswing concept facilitates the immediate detection of postural imbalances affecting the golf swing and offers corrective solutions.

Away from the golf, retreat to the Terre Blanche Spa for a spell of calm relaxation. Surrounded by luxurious greenery, this Provençal villa is a sanctuary of well-being that has all the treatments you could dream of, from antiageing facials by VALMONT to aqua fitness, yoga and Pilates.

Guests will also appreciate the five-star hotel comprising villas designed as a charming Provençal village with flourished cobble stone alleyways set amid peaceful gardens. In harmony with nature, every suite has alluring views, luxury space, comfort, privacy and large terraces, but the 600sqm infinity pool, with its awe-inspiring backdrop, is, without doubt, the resort’s true masterpiece.

Featuring four restaurants, Terre Blanche is also a first-choice destination for any gourmand. Using local products, the menus present a refined Provençal cuisine, from the buffet breakfast, with freshly baked pastries, local cheeses and fruits, to the fine-dining experience at the elegant, Michelinstarred Le Faventia restaurant.

And while there’s plenty to do on site, the hotel offers you the chance to explore the breathtaking Provençal countryside, through its sunny roads, medieval villages and vineyards where you can sample a glass or two the region’s worldrenowned wine.

For the younger travellers, the Kids’ Club provides a wide range of activities, alternating games, discovery and creations for children up to 12 years old. Families and teenagers will also enjoy a variety of activities at the resort and around, including golf, tennis, aquatic games, paddle, laser game, treetop adventures and horse riding.

Whatever your age and interest, Terre Blanche offers a truly great escape.
