RANGE AND CHARGING
The MG4 EV might be a compact hatchback, but it ticks a very big box with a driving range of up to 281 miles*, so it’s here for the long haul.
You can charge at home using a standard 7kW wallbox (ideal for overnight or off-peak use), but when you’re on the road and need to top-up quickly, it can charge at speeds of up to 135kW, so you can take advantage of the best rapid chargers. In fact, charging the 64kWh battery in the SE Long Range and Trophy models from 10% to 80% can take just 35 minutes.
And with the UK’s public charging network growing quickly, with almost 60,000 connectors in more than 20,000 locations** and many more being added every month, it’s easier than ever to find a place to plug in.
SPACE AND STYLE
Designed as an EV from the ground-up, the MG4 EV uses clever tricks to give you a familyfriendly space in a hatchback package. Its long wheelbase, compact motor and ultra-thin battery free up space, so there’s plenty of headroom and legroom, as well as an ingenious array of smart storage for toys, keys, bags and phones. e boot is roomy and versatile too.
A distinctive exterior is complemented by a choice of six bold colours, including the new exclusive Volcano Orange with two-tone black roof and twin-aero spoiler available with Trophy models. Other features include the Active Grille System, which regulates airflow for optimum battery range on the SE Long Range and Trophy.
PERFORMANCE
This isn’t just a great electric car, it’s also a great car to drive. e MG4 EV SE will zap from 0-60mph in 7.5 seconds, while the SE Long Range and Trophy models, with their slightly bigger battery, take just 7.7. All versions are rear-wheel-drive, with independent suspension for a smooth ride and regenerative braking for enhanced control and efficiency.
ere are five driving modes, including Snow for slippery surfaces, Sport for powerful acceleration, and Eco for energy saving.
TECHNOLOGY
The MG4 EV is MG’s most technologically advanced car yet. Standard features include regenerative braking, a 10.25-inch colour touchscreen, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. MG Pilot driver assistance also comes as standard, with Active Emergency Braking, Intelligent High Beam Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control. In addition, the Trophy model comes with a 360° parking camera, satellite navigation, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a smartphone Bluetooth key.
All models can sync with the iSMART app, which allows you to control many functions of your MG4 EV from your phone, such as charging, finding your nearest charging point and pre-starting the climate control system.
A POWER PACK ON WHEELS
Vehicle to Load (V2L) technology means the MG4 EV’s battery can power external devices and gadgets. ese could be anything from an electric scooter to a TV or kettle, as long as they can be connected to the charging port with an adapter. ink of V2L as an electricity hotspot that’ll give you power wherever you are, from car parks to campsites or festival fields.
