Porsche in spe­cial Le Mans Clas­sic race

70 clas­sics will take to La Sarthe for 55-minute duel

Porsche has an­nounced plans for a spe­cial race ex­clu­sively re­served for its own his­toric rac­ing cars at Le Mans Clas­sic from 6-8 July. 70 Weis­sach-bred race cars will take part to mark seven decades of the Porsche brand. The race will take place on the Satur­day of the three-day event, with two qual­i­fy­ing ses­sions tak­ing place the day be­fore.

This means the sin­gle-make ‘Porsche race’ will fea­ture all man­ner of rac­ing cars from through­out its un­ri­valled his­tory on the track, from early 1950’s 356s through 2.8RSRS to those heav­ily clad in suc­cess at Larthe such as the 956 and
