Carrera Cup Deutschland prepares for 30th year
Talent Pool incentive to evolve for Germany’s fastest one-make Cup
The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland enters its 30th year of competition with a comprehensive 16-race calendar for 2019. There will be two races at each of the eight weekends, run as a support to the ADAC Masters. Porsche Motorsport has also said it will evolve its Talent Pool programme, which was introduced to the Carrera Cup Deutschland last year. The concept includes comprehensive coaching from Porsche professional Wolf Henzler, fitness tests, individualised training plans, media and mental training as well as free sets of tyres. Last year 16 participants enrolled in the scheme, though Porsche said this year it will be capped and the quality as well as the support offered will increase.
Meanwhile, it has been announced the selected Porsche Junior for the 2019 Supercup season will be 22-year-old New Zealander Jaxon Evans.
