Total 911

The power of magazines

-

Dear Sir,

I was compelled to write having just picked up the latest edition of your magazine… I’ve just walked up the road to my local newsagent in foul rain to pick up the latest copy of Total 911. It’s a moment I’ve looked forward to every month since I started buying eight months’ ago, so I was very pleased to read in your Welcome message that you intend to keep the magazine in its print format.

I’m new to Porsche ownership, acquiring a 911 996 C4S towards the end of last year. I absolutely love owning the car and find your magazine immensely interesting and helpful, providing a rich source of information for all 911 models from likeminded enthusiasts. In particular I enjoy reading the articles in the Living the Legend section. These real-world stories of 911 ownership have really helped me learn about the nuances of my own

996 model from other owners. Of course I can, and do, read online forums and social posts from hundreds of owners all willing to put their best advice forward, however there’s something more believable about reading it in a magazine where the content has been ‘scrupulously vetted’ by experts and this makes it a truly trustworthy source.

The only improvement I would like to make has nothing to do with the format of the magazine at all, just in my own way of purchasing it – I intend to transfer to a monthly subscription very soon to remove the fear of missing a copy! Thank you for providing great content every month and helping to make my 911 journey even more enjoyable.

Matt, your correspondence is both humbling and timely. We always have and always will believe in the power of magazines, particularly the specialist titles, as a vital and trustworthy resource for the enthusiast. Particularly since I’ve been steering the T911 ship, we have always sought to put the reader first above all else. Despite the tough times we find ourselves in, we will continue to strive to bring you a stellar magazine each month. In the meantime, your support is greatly appreciated, now more than ever.
