So the world has ground to a halt! The big “C” has stopped play, and normal life in general. So our attention has been shifted from normality to survival; things we didn’t think twice about last week are suddenly now out to kill us. I think it has forced people to slow down a bit, which has resulted in many doing a bit of a reassessment of what is important and how lucky we are to live in a world where we have our liberty.

I hope we’ll all emerge from this with a new appreciation for what is actually important. Things that make us feel good and feel free will definitely have a newfound value in my life. That first drive out post

COVID in the ’67 912 is going to feel like the first-ever drive, and I can’t wait! We are all lucky enough to own a little piece of Porsche history, which lets us be part of something so much bigger. We’ve been taking that for granted for so long and this little reset, I hope, will reignite people’s passion for their cars and enjoying what they have.

In amongst the mayhem we’ve been squirreling away in getting our new podcast ready for launch. We’ve regrettably had to can the Sandbanks Scramble launch event, which was so disappointing on so many levels, but we will get this back in the plan as and when we are allowed. After lengthy discussions as to whether we still launch the podcast we decided, actually, this might just be the perfect time. Everyone is living in a strange, upside-down world of uncertainty, so what better time to give everyone a little bit of escapism to a (hopefully) happy place for an hour or two?

So, we launched Road to Redline, which is now available on your preferred podcast platform. We’ve already dropped half a dozen opening episodes with an aim to bring a new episode every week. Already we have interviewed an awesome Porsche collector with an extensive ‘Rare and Rennsport’ stable, had an industry insight into the behind-the-scenes world of trading

Porsches between dealers from an EX-OPC business manager turned independent broker, delved deep into the knowledge of an expert road/track instructor who’s also been instructing at the Silverstone experience centre since it opened, and even an interview from across the pond with a world famous Californian-based Porsche tuning house. And that’s just for starters… with three hosts we’ve each also been grilled by the others on our own car history and views on the world. It’s proving great fun!

We’ve got off to a great start, listed as fourth in the automotive sector and 11th in the world for new podcasts. What’s not to love? Give us a listen, it’s not like you haven’t got the time right now!
