Late prototype sighting suggests official reveal is imminent

Total 911’s spies have once again spotted a

992 Targa GTS prototype in testing, its lack of camouflage revealing the mule as a very late development car and thereby suggesting an imminent release of the official 992 GTS lineup.

While our spies have previously captured and documented key design details for the upcoming GTS, the mule in our latest shots has its entire dashboard covered up, indicating that Porsche has already started real-world trialling of a new interior arrangement for the facelift 992, due for release in 18 months’ time. Early reports hint that the next 911 generation will feature a revised dashboard more inline with that currently used in Porsche’s allelectric Taycan. Despite the prototype dashboard being trialled in a GTS mule here, Total 911 expects the production 992 GTS to be released with the existing 992.1 dashboard design.
