AUTOGLYM MAGMA
Price: £10.99 www.autoglym.com A spray that targets iron-based airborne contaminants on your paintwork sounds like the answer to a question that nobody was asking. So we approached Autoglym’s Magma, claimed to help wash away the aforementioned nasties, with a degree of scepticism. After all, the car we’d just washed looked clean.
And for a moment or so after spraying the stuff on, nothing happened. But then previously unseen specs of dirt started bleeding red, as you see with modern alloy wheel cleaners. There, as promised, were specks of iron-based airborne contaminants.
You’ve got to leave the Magma on for a few minutes to do its thing, then sponge your car off again, but you do get a peculiar sense of satisfaction that it’s cleaner than it was before. We’re sceptics no more.
