Total MX-5 - - SHOW REVIEW -

A couple of weeks before the Ragley Hall shindig, American MX-5 – or perhaps we’d better say Miata – enthusiasts were rocking up in California for an event called Miatas at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. A two-day gathering, it centred on the famous (and frequently sun-drenched) race track, with owners paying to use the circuit trackday-style.

Although the track was exclusively for Miatas, participants were sensibly split into classes, ranging from novice to race licence holder, with instructors on hand for those new to track driving in general and for those fresh to Laguna Seca. Off-track activities included barbecues, a car show, parties, live music, shopping opportunities, and a chance to chat with Miata experts.

In preparation for the MX-5’S 30th birthday the organisers of Miatas at MRLS have already booked the dates for 2019’s event – October 11–13. If you fancy a trip to California to attend, then best you check out miatasatmazdarace for further details.
