Global artists share their unique perspectives
Somerset House has attracted diverse cultural talent for decades, and this summer is no exception. A major installation of 200 mirrors by the Anglo-korean artists Kimchi and Chips will appear in the neoclassical courtyard; portraits of the pioneers of R&B, funk, soul, Afrobeat and hip hop will go on display; two weekends of shows will celebrate 250 years since Philip Astley launched the modern circus in London; and lunch comes courtesy of the Welsh chef Bryn Williams’ new restaurant. helena lee www.somersethouse.org.uk
