Every June, the grounds of Royal Hospital Chelsea are transformed into the venue for Masterpiece London, one of the UK’S top arts and antiques fairs, where exhibitors from around the globe gather to display a beguiling array of jewellery, paintings, furniture, textiles and ceramics. Highlights of the latest edition include pieces by the 18th-century cabinetmaker Thomas Chippendale, whose tercentenary falls this year; original art by Lucio Fontana and Gerhard Richter; and works on paper by artists such as Albrecht Dürer and Andy Warhol. cg Masterpiece London runs from 28 June to 4 July (www. masterpiecefair.com).
