West Dean College has trained generations of British artisans, so it’s fitting that it has now launched a festival of arts and craft. More than 200 artists, printmakers, craftspeople and writers will come together for this three-day celebration of the best of British, where visitors can buy original pieces, attend talks and workshops and visit the estate’s spectacular gardens. cg West Dean Arts and Craft Festival will take place between 1 and 3 June (www.westdean.org.uk).
