Save money on Crick show tickets

ADVANCE tickets are now on sale for the 2020 Crick Boat Show, saving up to 15% on the entry price.

The event, which takes place at Crick Marina, near Daventry in Northampto­nshire, will be held from May 23-25, with an extra trade and preview day to be held on Friday, May 22.

Crick Boat Show, Britain’s biggestinl­andwaterwa­ysevent, is organised by Waterways World in associatio­n with the Canal & River Trust and Crick Marina, and is expected to attract more than 26,000 visitors.

As well as being the canal world’s biggest marketplac­e, showcasing the inland waterways industry with nearly 300 exhibitors, Crick Boat Show offers a fantastic day out for all the family, with dozens of boats to look round, free boat trips, free advice seminars on boat ownership, live music, children’s activities, a real ale marquee and a large variety of food and drink stalls.

Peter Johns, show director, said: “Now in its 21st year, the show hosts the largest display of new inland boats, both narrowboat­s and widebeams, and for three days it becomes Britain’s largest chandlery when nearly 300 exhibitors bring together the complete range of equipment and materials for inland boating.”

Matthew Symonds, national boating manager for the Canal & River Trust, said: “Every year Crick Boat Show, the UK’s biggest inland waterways festival, celebrates Britain’s fantastic network of canals and rivers.

“We look forward to welcoming thousands of visitors to Crick for a fantastic day out by the Grand Union Canal Leicester Line in the Northampto­nshire countrysid­e, with the chance to discover more about the recreation, health and wellbeing opportunit­ies our waterways offer people today.”

For the Saturday, Sunday and Monday, adult tickets are £16.50 on the gate, £14 if purchased in advance. Entry for children aged 16 and under is free. Senior citizens and concession­s are £15 on the gate, £12.75 in advance. Three-day adult tickets are £35 on the gate, £29.75 in advance. Three-day senior citizen or concession tickets are £32 on the gate, £27.20 in advance.

Tickets for the trade and preview day are only available in advance and are priced at £19.50 each. Preview day visitors will have access to an exclusive online booking system for boat viewings on preview day.

Tickets will be sent out in May and delivery is free of charge. Advance tickets can be ordered by phone until 4pm on Friday, May 15 and online until midnight on Sunday, May 17.

Camping pitch prices start at £36 for one night for a 6m x 6m pitch for a tent and car. Mooring costs start at £1.50 per foot.
