Volunteers spruce up lock 7 on the Northampton Arm

IWA Northampton Branch work party volunteers have been back out along the waterways in line with the easing of restrictions.

In March 2021, a group of volunteers focused on the track near lock 7 on the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal.

Vegetation was cleared, both sides were strimmed and mowed, and overhanging vegetation was cut back. Volunteers also cleared litter from lock 1 to the motorway bridge.
