Encouraging the use of the BCN

WE ENDORSE Les Heath’s suggestion (News, Issue 191, September) that Walsall should become a destination for boaters.

The excellent Canal & River Trust basin sits alongside a wonderful new art gallery, and the town has a surprising number of other attractions as we found when we moored up there alone this July!

A cleaner stretch of canal down to the Main Line would have got us there far quicker.

The BCN is a wonderful part of the network and its use should be encouraged. Andrew Morris
