Giving me a purpose
I ENJOY doing a work task along the canal and waterway at Cambrian House, Birmingham, every Wednesday for half a day and have work clothes including a T-shirt and sweatshirt. We do mainly weeding along the towpath in between the fruit trees and deciduous broad leaves.
I read Towpath Talk and other magazines which give me a purpose. I am happy with my benefits of PIP (Personal Independence Payment) and Universal Credit and go via the council and works and pensions even though I could be a volunteer. RP Stevens
