Acton Bridge Cruising Club ‘back in business’

-

IN JANUARY this year, Acton Bridge Cruising Club on the River Weaver in Cheshire suffered an unprecedented flood which damaged some of its moorings.

Since that time, it has been rumoured that the club is no longer functioning, according to member David Moores.

“This is far from true,” he told Towpath Talk. “All the damaged moorings in the club have been repaired by Jetties & Moorings of Cumbria Ltd to an extremely high standard.

“We would like to dispel any rumours that we are ‘not in business’, in fact, we are raring to get going both in boating activities and socially for next year’s season, having been ‘well and truly Covided’ for the last couple of years!”

The club now has a few moorings available for any possible new membership applications, David said. Get in touch with the club secretary by emailing secretary@ actonbridgecc.co.uk to find out more.
