Time for a tipple

-

WHEN the sun’s over the yardarm – or the tiller in the case of a narrowboat – that’s the time to enjoy a Towpath Tipple.

This new canal-themed range of grain-to-glass spirits and liqueurs will warm the cockles of the heart of any captain, pirate, lock labourer or galley slave.

Independently produced in a small-batch copper-pot distillery in Northamptonshire, the grain is locally ‘mashed’ for its English whisky, single malts, gin and vodka. The fruit for the brandy is locally selected and picked.

So when it’s time to put your feet up, look back on a rewarding day’s boating, bask in the evening glow of a sinking sun or simply to reflect, choose a glass of what you fancy from this warming array of spirits.

Whether it’s a tot of Pirate’s Curse Rum, a wee dram of Boatman’s Comfort Single Malt English Whisky, a shot of Gongoozler’s Ruin Gin, a slug of Lockkeeper’s Secret Vodka or Towpath Scrump Apple Brandy – you decide.
