Mooring strategy
BOATERS have until March to respond to the consultation by the Canal & River Trust on ways to improve the management of mooring space in central London where boat numbers remain at record levels of around 4000 boats. Proposals include an increase in pre-bookable paid moorings at 10 short-stay visitor sites, limiting the amount of time individual boats can use them in a year and increasing the overstay charge and prevention of triple mooring and mooring against a widebeam on the busiest waterways.
