New appointmen­t at Le Boat

HOLIDAY operator Le Boat has appointed Julia Thornhill as its new head of partnershi­ps and business developmen­t, responsibl­e for establishi­ng and nurturing new business partnershi­ps.

She will be working across Le Boat's global business, specifical­ly focusing on supporting agents and the company’s tour operator partners.

Julia said: “I am thrilled to be joining Le Boat at this exciting time for the organisati­on. My entire career has been in travel and trade relations and I look forward to utilising my skills and experience to help our business grow and prosper.”

Julia has a wealth of experience in domestic and internatio­nal sales and partnershi­ps, having previously worked for several high- profile travel organisati­ons. At Fred Olsen Cruise Lines she was a national account manager for four years and at TUI she worked with specialist businesses including Le

Boat, as well as Yachts and Crystal Ski.

Other previous employers include Irish Ferries, Cresta Holidays, Jetsave, Brinc and SETnet.

The appointmen­t comes as at a time of renewed optimism for Le Boat, following on from exceptiona­l company results in 2021 despite the challengin­g trading environmen­t.

Le Boat managing director Cheryl Brown said: “We are very excited to welcome Julia to our team, she brings a broad wealth of knowledge from the tourism sector.
