New appointment at Le Boat
HOLIDAY operator Le Boat has appointed Julia Thornhill as its new head of partnerships and business development, responsible for establishing and nurturing new business partnerships.
She will be working across Le Boat's global business, specifically focusing on supporting agents and the company’s tour operator partners.
Julia said: “I am thrilled to be joining Le Boat at this exciting time for the organisation. My entire career has been in travel and trade relations and I look forward to utilising my skills and experience to help our business grow and prosper.”
Julia has a wealth of experience in domestic and international sales and partnerships, having previously worked for several high- profile travel organisations. At Fred Olsen Cruise Lines she was a national account manager for four years and at TUI she worked with specialist businesses including Le
Boat, as well as Yachts and Crystal Ski.
Other previous employers include Irish Ferries, Cresta Holidays, Jetsave, Brinc and SETnet.
The appointment comes as at a time of renewed optimism for Le Boat, following on from exceptional company results in 2021 despite the challenging trading environment.
Le Boat managing director Cheryl Brown said: “We are very excited to welcome Julia to our team, she brings a broad wealth of knowledge from the tourism sector. She comes as a great asset to our company at this time and is exactly the person we need to help us execute our ambitious vision for 2022 and beyond.”
