IWA Chester & Merseyside Branch: Waterway walk featuring the Shropshire Union Canal, starting from Waverton near Chester. Three miles but with some unused and overgrown footpaths to form a circular and interesting route. There are some meadows to cross which could be uneven but no hills or slopes. Meet at 10.15 for 10.30am start, finishing at parking place about 1.30pm. Anyone wishing to take part should email derek. smith@waterways.org.uk by the Saturday evening before the walk.
