Culture at the canal
LIVE Latin and folk music on the Navigation Warehouse decking combine with model boats and an art trail to provide an afternoon of ent e rtainment hosted by the Louth Navigation Trust on Sunday, June 19.
Paddlers are invited to bring their canoe, kayak or paddleboard to join in the fun on the Riverhead Basin during the afternoon from 12.30 - 5 . 30pm. Grimsby & Cleethorpes Motor Boat Association will also be launching their craft. As the ‘close season’ for coarse fishing ends on June 15 it is aimed to install stoplogs to raise the water level in the basin.
The guided art trail will run from Westgate Fields through the Lincolnshire town to Riverhead with live acoustic ‘minstrel stations’ along the way.
