Major investment at Evesham Marina
EXCITING times are ahead at Evesham Marina with an investment of more than £3 million taking place over the next five years.
Development of the new riverside moorings continues with landscaping to create a five-acre nature enhancement area, which will feature a wetland walkway, a wildflower meadow and various nesting boxes.
The development of the new riverside mooring has also provided an opportunity to upgrade the existing moorings, including a new water supply and upgrades to the electrical system including new service bollards.
The old offices will be demolished to make way for two self-contained, disabled-friendly holiday flats with balconies overlooking the river.
These will incorporate the latest energy saving technologies and will be built with a carbonneutral footprint.
The marina will also see a development of three town houses, four flats and two maisonettes as part of the overall scheme of works to enhance the site, which will also include a dedicated 3000sq ft leisure showroom and workshop facility.
