Escape to the Creek in your own cabin

-

A RARE chance has arisen to buy your own bolthole close to the River Trent opposite Beeston Marina and Attenborough Nature Reserve near Nottingham.

The wooden cabin has a living room/ kitchen 6.16m x 3.9m, one bedroom 3.6m x 3.4m and a bathroom with bath, shower over bath, sink and toilet. The toilet has a septic tank that needs emptying once a year if used daily. It has solar panels and a 12v supply for lighting and water pump.

The cabin at No 7, The Creek, does need some work to make it fully habitable. The water tank needs connecting to the internal system and there is currently no cooker, but these have all been working in the past so the majority of the equipment is there.

Ideal as a small off-grid home or a holiday/weekend retreat, there is no ground rent, council tax or utility bills as there are no supplied services. Car access is via a 1.2-mile track from the A453.

There is a bore hole in the grounds and the water comes from an underground spring running down from nearby Clifton woods. This is then used for washing/toilet flushing via a tank located under the decking but is not suitable for drinking without further filtration although some of the nearby properties do have this facility.

It is in a small community of around 20 plots. There is also the Beeston Sailing Club building that is run and used by the residents for meetings and social events.

This is a freehold land/property sale. For more details or to view contact Tim Leake on 07866 338726.
