New study’s findings could draw more users to the waterways
THE all-Ireland inland waterways governing body, Waterways Ireland, is commissioning a feasibility study to help inform future decisions on investing in or supporting glamping and motorhoming development throughout the navigational network as well as the future investment into public EV charging infrastructure.
It is believed that the addition of this infrastructure has the potential to attract more users to the waterways and its environs for both on- and off-water recreational activities.
Once a contractor is appointed between 30 and 50 sites across Northern Ireland and Ireland are expected to be assessed.
