Cheshire marinas acquired by ABC Leisure

-

ABC Leisure Group recently announced the acquisition of Uplands Marina and Nantwich Canal Centre in Cheshire.

Both locations had been in the same ownership since the 1990s and have been built into successful marina businesses.

ABC managing director Carl Onens posted on Facebook: “We are really pleased to integrate these two successful marinas into ABC Leisure Group. Both locations enhance the mooring offering to our customers. Nantwich also has an extremely skilled team who will enrich the wider group as well as a well-stocked chandlery, day boat and dry dock.”

Bill and Sheila Saner commented: “After many years at Nantwich and Uplands we are pleased to be able to pass on our marinas to ABC Leisure. We wish them every success for the future.”

ABC Leisure Group now owns and operates 18 inland waterway marinas across the UK with all the associated services. This includes approximately 1000 mooring berths, a fleet of around 300 narrowboats for self-drive self-catering holidays, a boat building operation, brokerage service and a rapidly expanding chandlery.
