Midland Chandlers divisional head moves to new group role

THE Arleigh Group, aftermarke­t distributo­r of parts and accessorie­s to the caravan and marine sectors, has appointed Ashley Merriman to the newly created role of head of channel (marine).

He will be responsibl­e for leading the strategic developmen­t of ASAP Supplies, Aquafax and Midland Chandlers, the three marine divisions within Arleigh Group.

Ashley most recently was head of division for Midland Chandlers after starting his career in 2007 as a warehouse operative. He has moved through the company gaining vast experience and marine knowledge which has contribute­d to the success and growth of both the trade and retail elements of the business.

“I am looking forward to leading our dedicated marine teams and continuing to build upon the company’s successes, focusing on our strategic goals for growth and developmen­t,” said Ashley.

Ashley’s appointmen­t shows a continued commitment at Arleigh Group to recognise, and value, talented employees and to support their developmen­t and career paths within the group.

Group sales director Andy Davies said: “Ashley will help us to take the business forward, as we look to continuous­ly improve the customer journey within the B2B and B2C channels, by increasing the availabili­ty of products via tracked delivery services, digital platforms, branch excellence and growing our comprehens­ive technical support.”
