National Waterways Museum, Gloucester: Head along to the National Waterways Museum to enjoy spooky stories, pumpkin carving, crafts and a Halloween trail.

Standedge Tunnel Visitor Centre, Marsden: Haunted disco – come along to Standedge Tunnel for an afternoon of Halloween fun. Along with dancing and party games there will be face painting, themed treats, a haunted trail and a fancy dress competitio­n.

Standedge Tunnel Visitor Centre, Marsden: Pumpkin carving class – come and get creative with spooky designs. Join our Canal & River

Explorers team and learn how to carve your very own pumpkin ready for Halloween, choose from a range of designs or create your own spooky pumpkin face.

Canal Museum, Stoke Bruerne: Spooky Halloween fun – visitors to Stoke Bruerne should prepare for some spine-tingling fun as part of a series of spooktacul­ar events taking place at the Canal Museum during half-term week.

Red Bull Wharf, Stoke-onTrent: Head to Red Bull Wharf for a day of Halloween fun. Activities on the day include fancy dress, a magic trail, ghoulish crafts, pumpkin carving and more.

National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port: As part of the Window on the World project, George is back at the National Waterways Museum before she sets off in her traditiona­l historic setting on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal next year. While she is here, she is the central focus of the museum’s Halloween activity.
