The long haul
Shropshire Union Canal Society volunteers haul a Canal & River Trust dredger from Crickheath Basin where it and a barge were craned into the newly watered 600m stretch to Prices Bridge at the other end of the channel. The dredger was nicknamed Tightanic due to problems encountered during delivery along the very narrow access to the launch site.
