THE CHAMP RETURNS
Record-breaking fell runner Jasmin Paris has returned to competition just five months after giving birth, to win the 15.3km Mourne Highline Mountain Race, event one of the British Fell Running Championships.
“It was great to be racing again,” the former British fell running champions told
“I had no expectations whatsoever and started quite far back. As it turned out, I felt quite strong ascending, and quickly slipped back into the flow of running the technical descents. I’m not fully fit yet though.”
Paris says her training is less spontaneous now. “Time is precious,” she says. “My husband Konrad looks after Rowan every morning between 6-8am, while I go running in the hills. I’m also doing hill reps and intervals around Rowan sleeping in a buggy.”
