Trail Running (UK) - - Warm-Up -

There was a high DNF rate among elite men and women at this year’s UTMB. Perhaps the most unexpected reason was

Kilian Jornet’s, who was stung by a bee on race-day morning and felt unwell.

It’s not trail running, but we were inspired by

Dan Lawson’s attempt to break the John o’Groats to Land’s End record of nine days two hours. Lawson averaged 90 miles per day for six days, but eventually fell just short.

A record-breaking attempt at a new FKT on the 268-mile Pennine Way lasted only seven hours in September, thanks to high wind, heavy rain, sleet and hail. That totals three failed attempts in 2018 to better Mike Hartley’s 1989 record of 2 days 17hr 20min.
