Trail Running (UK) - - Routes - Kielder Water and Forest Park www.forestry.gov.uk/kielder

Kielder Water and Forest Park covers a vast landscape of trees, hills, water and sky. It’s a place that feels truly remote and wild, where you can run all day and not see a single other person. There are many outstanding trails here for running, walking and mountain biking; from the lakeside path that takes in a full marathon distance around Kielder Water to the technical trails in the surrounding hills. Deadwater Fell rises from the heart of Kielder Forest which, at 250 square miles, is England’s largest forest area. At 571 metres, the summit of Deadwater Fell is one of the highest points in Kielder and straddles the border between Scotland and England. For a challenging but enjoyable waymarked run, follow the signposts for the Deadwater walking trail.
