FACTS KINLOCHLEVEN

Kinlochleven was the first place in the UK where every house had electricity, even before the Houses of Parliament. In the woodlands above the town there’s a World War One prisoner of war camp you can visit. Settlement of Kinlochleven began when an aluminium factory was built there in 1904. The Aluminium Smelter closed in 1996. A factory building now houses the Ice Factor.
