Walking uphill is superb cardiovasc­ular exercise, builds stamina and tones muscle. And as far as mental health goes, research has shown that exposure to nature reduces stress levels, improves attention spans in children and reduces the likelihood of depression. They call it ecotherapy – we call it a weekend in the hills!
