Haribo Tangfastics, absolutely essential for a moral boost during dark descents.

A down jacket is worth its weight in gold for those chilly summit vigils. A tripod is non-negotiable, as are my Kase Wolverine filters.

Spare batteries/memory cards, lens cloth and remote cable release.

To keep weight down I only use one lens and one camera body, a 24-70mm L series lens and a Canon 6D.

A SPAR plastic bag to drape over my camera during squalls and showers.
