The Osprey Exos has been a regular winner of the ‘Best in Test’ title in Trail’s backpack reviews. It’s light, adaptable, comfortable and its back ventilation system actually works. However, there‘s always been a big, black mark against the Exos in that there’s never been a women’s version. But that’s all changed... The pack has been updated for spring 2018 with an improved fit and better lumbar support, a more durable construction (sturdiness had been a questionable characteristic of previous models) and a Flapjacket top cover that comes into play when the pack is being used without its removable lid. However, the biggest and most essential update is the inclusion of a women-specific model: the Eja. Offering all the performance of the Exos, but in a fit tailored to the female form, the Eja is available as a 38- or 48-litre version.
