He has collaborated with the Leeds University Performance Clothing Research Group; worked as an outdoor instructor and in outdoor retail; and has authored books on scrambles and a backpacking guide to the Lake District.

GT’s love of hillwalking and backpacking has taken him all over the world, but the Lake District is his passion.
