The 12 spikes on this crampon are 25mm long and you get a unique attachment system that allows this crampon to be fitted to a wider range of boots straight from the box. It’s rated as C2 so it can be fitted to stiff B2 rated 4 season boots. It comes with the heel clip and toe bail shown and this has attachment points to allow a range of fits. In addition you get two alternative toe bails for fitting to other boots, making this ideal if you have a range of different winter boots. Another benefit is this crampon is slightly lighter than other models. The negative points are that the anti-balling plates fitted to prevent snow from sticking to the base don’t pop the snow out as well as some, and other crampons have longer or rotated spikes for grip during descents.
